Catch the Ball - #FitboxenChallenge

In cooperation with the Goalify-App we got asked to sponsor a special XMAS advent calender challenge and as a result our "Catch the ball" #FitboxenChallenge has been created.
 

What do I need?

Get a softball or another object that you can easily hold in one hand.
 

Here's how it works:


1.
Both hands should be close to you at chin height, and you should hold the ball or other object in one of your hands.
 

2.
Extend the hand with the ball forward and toss the ball straight up into the air, then bring that hand back to the start position near your chin.
 

3.
Variation 1 (you’ll find more difficult variations under “That’s too easy”): Follow the ball with your eyes, and when it gets to shoulder height, catch it with the other hand (palm facing down, so don’t just scoop it up from below).
 

4.
The hand that has the ball is now the throwing hand – repeat everything, starting with the first point.

 

How often?

Try 3 times a week for 2 minutes differend kind of variations.
 

That's too easy!

Increase the difficulty with the following variations:

  • Variation 2
    Focus a point at eye level.
     
  • Variation 3
    Stand on one leg
     
  • Variation 4
    Catch the ball with the thumb and index finger. 
     
  • Combine the variations
     
  • Variation X(treme)
    Catch the ball with your eyes closed, your eyes facing the ceiling standing with one leg on a swiss ball ;)
